SushiSwap was a pioneer in the food-themed decentralized exchange game, and is now in the top 10 decentralized exchanges by volume, with its native governance token appropriately taking the form of SUSHI. The platform’s creator, the anonymous ‘Chef Nomi’, gained notoriety after doing a disappearing act with $14m worth of the platform’s ETH in 2020 before returning all of it shortly after. Probably wasn’t great for the community, but it was a great publicity stunt.
